EXAMPLE ANALYSIS — sample figures

Hear what we removed. And everything we kept.

CLEAN — bones removed

This is what AI was actually leaving in the track — stray clings, metallic ring, static crackle. Volta removes them completely.

We do not overwrite the whole mix. Only detected peaks are processed.

01

We do not suppress the entire high end

Narrow-band notch attenuation is applied only around detected peaks.

02

Drum attacks and cymbals are protected

Drums use a lower high-frequency attenuation cap, with less attenuation around transients.

03

You can compare the result directly

Compare the original, processed signal, and removed component at the same playback position.

WHY HONENUKI

What makes it different

Other tools pull the whole top end down and then try to restore it — losing real music along the way. honenuki removes only the offending components.

01

Precision strikes

No broadband EQ — only narrow bands around detected components are attenuated. The music stays, the ring goes.

02

Triple filter

Three different kinds of AI artifacts — metallic spikes, high-frequency hiss, sibilance — each removed by its own dedicated filter.

03

Saturator · De-esser · Air included

Removal is not the end. Saturation and Air bring back texture and brightness; the de-esser finishes the job.

STUDIO

It doesn't finish on its own. Trust your ears and tune the details yourself.

01

Playback and monitoring

Compare processed, original, and residual at the same position. Watch position and level while you listen.

02

Treatment settings

Set how much to remove with Strength, De-ess, and Hiss, then restore texture and top end with Saturation and Air.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does honenuki detect AI-generated music?

It finds the telltale traces (the metallic ring) that AI generators leave in music. Upload stems, get an AI verdict first, then only those traces are removed.

Which AI music generators does it work with?

Yes. Stems from Suno, Udio, Mureka, and other major AI music generators are all supported. Songs from similar generators clean up the same way.

Is human-recorded music safe to run through it?

The verdict informs — it never blocks. If your upload looks human-made it is labeled as such, and what to remove (and how much) is always your call. You can compare original, processed, and residual side by side anytime.

Will removing artifacts dull my mix?

No. Only narrow bands around the offending components are removed, and the restore stage protects brightness and detail. The only thing that disappears is the ring.

What file formats are supported?

Upload stems as WAV, MP3, FLAC, or AIFF. Cleaned stems are rendered as WAV and delivered together in a single ZIP.

How much does it cost?

During early access the web app is $0 (regular $6.99/month). The one-time VST purchase is coming soon. Any changes will be announced first.
